Drink

What if it happens to a man?

If a man and a woman are both intoxicated and it results in sex after which the woman feels regret, justifiably so, I think most people would condemn the man for having taken advantage of the woman. I believe it would even be rape, as being drunk the woman can not give consent. Rightly so.

But what if the roles are reversed?

If both are intoxicated, and afterwards the man feels serious regret, would the woman be condemned for taking advantage? Would it be considered Rape since the Man was too drunk to give consent?

We live in a society that is very wrong. Where women get blamed if they are raped, where punishments are not severe enough. But we also live in a world where if a man is "raped" it is deemed to be less of an issue, or not even to be an issue. When Shia reported getting raped, he was humiliated in the press, and his "investigation" was further humiliation.

I am not arguing against this campaign, I very much support it, but it also seems like a valuable place to bring up further discussion.
